Rev. Kim Y. Trice is an ordained minister, educator, and mentor dedicated to strengthening faith, developing leaders, and encouraging individuals to walk confidently in their God given purpose. She serves as Youth Minister at Abyssinia Baptist Church in Capitol Heights, Maryland, where she provides spiritual leadership, discipleship, and mentorship to young people as they grow in their faith and navigate life’s challenges.
Discipleship and Teaching
Rev. Trice also teaches the New Disciples class, equipping new believers with a strong foundation in Christian faith, spiritual disciplines, and practical steps for spiritual growth. Through teaching, preaching, and mentorship, she is committed to helping individuals understand their identity in Christ and live out their calling with confidence and faith.
Education and Leadership Development
Rev. Trice holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Averett University. In addition to her ministry work, she serves as an AVID Elective Teacher and Site Coordinator for Prince George’s County school system where she empowers students through leadership development, organization, and college readiness. Her work reflects her deep commitment to guiding young people toward opportunity, purpose, and personal growth.
Ministry Focus and Community Impact
Rev. Trice’s ministry emphasizes youth discipleship, women’s spiritual growth, and offering encouragement during life’s transitions and challenges. She intentionally creates spaces where individuals feel seen, valued, and supported as they grow in faith and resilience. She also leads a women’s fellowship book club, providing a welcoming environment for women to engage in faith centered reflection, meaningful conversation, and mutual encouragement.

Faith, Family, and Personal Life
Rev. Kim Y. Trice’s ministry is rooted in 1 Peter 2:9–10, a reminder that we are a chosen people called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light.
She has been married for 35 years to Rev. Dr. Robert W. Trice, Jr., and together they share a strong commitment to faith, family, ministry, and serving others.
In her personal time, she enjoys photography and meaningful conversations over a good cup of coffee.
