Welcome to Mount Olive Baptist Church

Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” (Isaiah 2:3, NIV)

We know visiting a new church takes courage. Whether you are looking for a church home, passing through Stafford, or exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome here.

Mount Olive Baptist Church has been gathering people in this community since 1818, and our doors are open to you.

We invite you to read the information below to see what a Sunday morning will look like.

Sunday Schedule

Our worship services are uplifting, spirit-filled, and focused on drawing closer to God through music, prayer, and the preaching of His Word. Each gathering is designed to encourage your faith and remind you of the hope we have in Christ.

What Worship Looks Like

Our worship service lasts about 90 minutes. It includes congregational singing, prayer, Scripture reading, and a sermon from Pastor Edmonds.

The style is traditional and Spirit-led. You will hear the choir, participate in responsive readings, and experience preaching grounded in the Word of God.

What to Wear

Come as you are. Some members dress in suits and hats. Others wear slacks and blouses. You will not feel out of place either way.

Children & Youth

We welcome children of all ages. The nursery provides care for infants and toddlers during worship.

Youth Church offers a worship experience designed for children and teens. Our ushers will direct you when you arrive.
